Position switch with integrated LED status display

Microprecision Electronics SA now offers its MP100/200 series microswitches with an optional built-in LED indicator. These microswitches with integrated LED status indicator are designed for use at 24VDC in industrial automation applications. They allow easy visual control of the switching function, which is otherwise very cumbersome to perform, especially when the switch is mounted far away from the connected control. In addition, a cable break is immediately detected and the built-in LED facilitates intuitive calibration and adjustment during installation of the switching point in the field.
For easy connection to a sensor box, the switch is usually supplied with a 4-pin M12 connector, but other interface options, such as integrated M8 connector or a simple PVC cable are also possible. The LED can be wired to indicate either an NC or NO switching contact. A two-color LED can even be used to monitor the switching function. The electrical interface is available either as PNP or NPN circuit.
The entire range of modular actuators for the MP100/200 series is compatible with the new LED display option. These actuators include telescopic rams of different lengths, with and without rollers, different types of levers with direct or indirect actuation. Rocker roller levers, as well as wire and float levers are also available.
The standard MP200 series switches are sealed to IP68, allowing outdoor applications and even use under water, fully submerged up to 20 meters of water depth. The special switching mechanism also allows to switch two galvanically separated circuits (double break). The switches are certified to UL/EN standards for up to 15 A and suitable for temperatures up to 130 ° C (266 ° F). Microprecision also develops and implements customized solutions even for small batch sizes.
